Prior to joining Endeavour, Stephen was Chairman of Stoel Rives LLP, one of the largest law firms in the West. His practice focused on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and public and private securities transactions. Stephen was involved in the formation of Endeavour, and he worked with many of the firm's portfolio companies prior to joining the firm. Stephen currently sits on the board of Northland Transportation Company, Winco Foods, Tidewater Holdings, Columbus Foods, Little Red Services and National Frozen Foods.

At Stoel Rives, Stephen served as principal corporate counsel for some of the region's most recognized companies. He currently sits on the board of Columbia Sportswear Company and ESCO Corporation, and he is also a member of the Stanford University Committee for Undergraduate Education and serves on the board of the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Stephen received an A.B. from Stanford University, a J.D. from Stanford Law School and an M.B.A. from Stanford Business School. Stephen lives in Portland with his wife and two sons.
